DIY/Client Participation

DESIGN CHALLENGE:
Living area has no direct sunlight and the client would like to use existing furniture. The space is cold and detached.

DESIGN SOLUTION:
Add warmth, natural light and division with a custom wool area rug, new paint color and a mirror by Oly. Traditional chairs are updated with a Donghia fabric in a primative pattern. Woven Bamboo shades by Hunter Douglas in adjacent room and monochromatic colors selected for cohesiveness.

Dining chairs are covered in a contract fabric by Maharam a look and feel of natural Raffia, however, the fabric is stain resistant and washable.
